All donors will have their names displayed on the walls of Luntu Educare so that we will always remember your kindness!
Luntu Educare Centre is a school to 80 children aged 0-5 years old in the township of Philippi in Cape Town, South Africa. The difficulties the children are currently facing are due to environmental challenges to the building in which the children learn. An estimated R167 000 is needed for the centre to comply with building fire regulations standards, for partial care facilities. Your support towards raising the funds necessary to make improvements to the centres learning facility, will give our young learners the opportunity to nurture their inherent potential.
Linda is the principal and founder of Luntu Educare Centre, and she is passionate about her work with the children in her community. She started with nothing but a dream, and with hard work, perseverance and the proper support from SAEP (www.saep.org) she has turned her business idea into a childcare centre she can be proud of and that the community trusts and supports.
In order to be a fully registered ECD centre with the government and receive subsidies, centres must meet minimum requirements in areas in
cluding infrastructure. With so much necessary work to be done at Luntu, Linda can simply not afford it.
That’s where you come in. With the help of the public, we can raise the funds needed to fix Luntu and make it into the safe, welcoming learning environment these children deserve.
With everything from plumbing, ceilings, flooring, electrical wiring and even doors and windows needing replacements, the costs are high.
Help us reach our target of R167,000 to #FixLuntu!
All donations, large and small are very welcome.
