SAEP drama students “help out” singer Auriol Hays

Six learners from SAEP drama classes had an experience of a lifetime as they took part in the filming of a music video for South African star Auriol Hays.

SAEP volunteer Raquel Rosensweig organised the event with the help of Ross Rayners, a producer with Saint Moonriver Productions. The learners served as actors in the video for the song “Help Me Out.” The video will be released in the coming weeks. Expect to find a link to it on SAEP’s website.

The learners report that they will forever appreciate this unique experience. Rayners was so impressed with group’s talent and energy that he invited the students to attend the Hays concert the following week.

Norton, thank you so much for giving me a chance to taste the goodness of SAEP, a chance to develop myself, a chance to know what I did not know as a township girl and a chance to get off the corners of townships streets. If I didn't know about SAEP, maybe today I would be in the township streets and gaining nothing, but teenage pregnancy and HIV/AIDS.
