Updates on SAEP's Bridging Year Interns pre-2009

Sheila Yabo (2006) is currently in her third year at UCT. She is completing a B.A. degree in Film & Media and Anthropology.

Bandile Qashani (2005) is currently completing his third year of Chemical Engineering studies at CPUT.

Mongamo Tyhala (2007) is studying Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the University of the Western Cape on a full scholarship from Woolworths.

Andile Nqoko (2005) is studying for an B.Ed at the University of the Western Cape on a full scholarship; he plans to become a high school mathematics and science teacher.

Ayanda Mbebe (2007) is in his first year of Computer Studies at the University of the Western Cape.

Bulelani Futshane (2003) is in his fourth year working for LoveLife in HIV/AIDS education.

Noma Africa-Nkwenkwe (2006) is an HIV/AIDS counsellor for Leadership South.

Nosisa Mhlathi (2004) is a researcher for the Treatment Action Campaign. Several of her articles have been published in the Cape Times.

Asanda Gonya (2004) is currently a documentary film-maker. He has been commissioned by the SABC to produce a film about clan animals.

Luzuko Hina (2003) works as a computer technician for Stowe Holdings (Pty) Ltd, which provides PC-based software and systems solutions including research and development, implementation, remote product support to the open fuel and oil industry

Xolani May (2003) is a qualified tour guide and conducts township tours.

Nezile Nthutha (2004) is currently in his third year at AFDA, where he is studying to become a filmmaker. He was recently a finalist for the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship.

Sandiso Phaliso (2004) is a journalist and currently writes for the West Cape News agency. His articles appear regularly in Cape Town's daily newspapers.

Richard Tyembile (2005) is working in Penny Pinchers' sales department in Ottery and has applied to the South African Police Service to train as a policeman.

Thandisizwe Charlie Zondi (2003) completed training as a computer specialist and has worked for four years for ABSA, where he sells insurance for ABSA's Houseowner's Comprehensive Department in the Eastern and Western Capes.

Tulisa Magaqana (2007) is in her first year studying Human Resource Management at Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
