Recognized for his tireless work as a local leader in Philippi township, Bulelani has an impressive history of commitment to positive social change in his home community.

	<title><![CDATA[Bridging Year Programme Accepting Applications for 2012]]></title>

&nbsp;

	<title><![CDATA[SAEP’s ADT Teach Programme Granted Prestigious Award]]></title>

	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.saep.org/media/thumbs/201201251327477734.jpg" alt=SAEP’s ADT Teach Programme Granted Prestigious Award" align="left" style="margin-right:12px;" />After only three years of operation, SAEP&#039;s ADT Teach Programme has been selected to receive the Tyco International Security Solutions President&#039;s Award for 2011.
&nbsp;
The programme, one of only three programmes worldwide to be honoured with the award, uses mobile laptop labs to prepare township learners for work and higher education. Graduating Grade 12 learners will be able to earn a nationally-accredited certificate, equivalent to a tertiary-level computer course. 	<title><![CDATA[Bridging Year Programme Boasts Success in Final Exam Results ]]></title>

	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.saep.org/media/thumbs/201201241327391606.jpg" alt=Bridging Year Programme Boasts Success in Final Exam Results " align="left" style="margin-right:12px;" />After weeks of anticipation, the matric exam results for the Bridging Year Class of 2011 surfaced on 5 January. SAEP is happy to report that all students improved their results by at least one symbol in 25 of the 26 exams. Chante Mntudyedwa proved herself most remarkably, receiving a distinction in accounting and improving by at least one&nbsp;symbol in all of her subjects.

In a graduation ceremony held on 2nd December 2011, the top nine ADT Teach students were awarded desktop computers in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement this year. Upon receiving the computers, students exchanged congratulations and were honoured with heavy applause from parents, learners and SAEP staff in attendance.&nbsp;&nbsp;

	<title><![CDATA[Students Explore Law in Moot Court Competition]]></title>

	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.saep.org/media/thumbs/201112201324383722.jpg" alt=Students Explore Law in Moot Court Competition" align="left" style="margin-right:12px;" />In a pilot project from the SAEP Centre for Innovative Education and Community Service, Tom Burgess, an SAEP volunteer and recent law school graduate, has created an after-school programme aimed at introducing learners to legal thinking and the possibility of law as a future career.

As part of the project, on Saturday, 10 December, a moot court competition was held at Intsebenziswano Secondary School in Philippi. Participants included Grade 10 learners from Sophumelela and &nbsp;Intsebenziswano Senior Secondary schools.

	<title><![CDATA[Young Learners Celebrate First Graduation]]></title>

	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.saep.org/media/thumbs/201112131323784543.jpg" alt=Young Learners Celebrate First Graduation" align="left" style="margin-right:12px;" />To cap off the school year, four lovely graduation ceremonies were held on November 26th for Kiddies Educare, Sakhingomso Educare, Babalwa Educare and Qhamani Educare. &nbsp;
&nbsp;
Parents, families, teachers, and SAEP staff members were in attendance and were treated with singing, dancing, and drama performances by the young graduates. Elise Farley, ECD Programme coordinator, has described the day as a resounding success.
